As you all can tell the leaves are changing colour & falling off the trees. It’s getting colder, this is the time of year where the weather varies. A good time to revisit past photographic locations to see what they look like in different seasons & compare your photos taken with previous visits. I have done precisely that. I revisited a big park in Street which is known locally as The Batch. It’s always good photo opportunities there with the layout & symmetry of the trees & boulders. I have upgraded to a new camera & lens recently & have been very impressed with the results so far. My first time using it was a visit to Wells Cathedral & The Moat. Very sharp colours & clear images. I always go to DH James in Wells for my camera needs. They know what they are talking about & are very helpful.
As well as my trip to Wells I was asked to photograph the MirrorGrinn EP launch which also featured Brave Ones from Yeovil & new local band No Thursday War who I saw debut at this years Rock Against Cancer. I really enjoyed photographing this gig & it gave me a proper test of my new camera & it’s capabilities. It’s coming to the end of the year now but it won’t be too empty as I have a few things lined up which include Craig & Alex Priddice performing at The Venue in Wells Sunday November 11th starting at 7pm.
